It is not scary, but your ears usually pop, you can chew gun so they pop back regular. Usually on the plane they tell you the estimated time, they should provide you with that information.
2 :
Is it scary to fly? It depends entirely on the person. Some people are petrified. I personally quite like flying (:
3 :
oh thats not a very long flight at all, not a big deal. the turbulence might scare you a bit, lol, if you're that kind of person. but for me, personally i love plane trips, im going on a very long one to london in about a week. have a great trip =)
4 :
LOL no wayyy, its kinda weird at first and ur ears will ring and it goes sooooo fast but its really fun . i am not sure how long it would take though sorrry (:
5 :
you might be a little frightened during take off. the plane gets a little weird. but just ride it out. listen to some music and it'll help you calm down. look at your ticket for the estimated time.
6 :
Do Not Worry. Boarding: When you first board the aircraft, find your seat and put your carry on bag in the compartment above yor seat. Then you should take your seat for taxing. You will also hear various noises. This just the ground staff refueling and putting your luggage in the cargo hold. Taxi: You will then feel the plane move. At this time you will hear the flight attendents go over the safety features of the aircraft. Take-Off: Then you will pull onto the runway. Then the engines will start to roar. You will feel pressed back into your seat as the plane accelerates down the runway. The planes nose will then lift of the ground. Climb: Once in the air you will feel like you are in a reclined position. As the plane climbs the feeling of butterflies subside. Cruising Altitude: After about 20 minutes, you will feel the plane level off. When the seatbelt sign is turned off, you may use the lavatory, ect.. Descent: You will feel butterflies when you start to descend. This feeling goes on and off for about 20-30 minutes. Landing: When you are close to the airport, you will feel a little bit more intense butterflies but nothing to major. Following the butterflies you will feel a gentle bumb. You are on the ground. Then you will start to rapidly slow down. Taxi: You will then taxi of the runway and to your arrival gate. Deboarding: Once the seatbelt sign has been turned off, you may get your things from the overhead compartment and get off the best ride of your life. The flight time is probebly about #1/2 to 4 hours depending how many flights you have to take to get there. It is not scary at all. It is kind of a rush. GOOD LUCK :)

About Car Sickness How to prevent
Car Sickness How to prevent!!?

One thing to avoid is reading whilst travelling! Another thing is to make sure you have plenty of water and fresh air x
2 :
Try to take the front seat in the car and set your eyes on the road as the movements are comparably slow (not as rapid as you see through the side glasses) and less bothersome to the eyes. Try and get as much fresh air as possible when the first symptoms strike in or of you already know about your problem. Open up the car windows, come on the deck of the boat or turn on the overhead vent in the airplane. Travel at night if your problem is acute as the feeling of motion, from the point of view of what you see, gets diminished in the night. There are certain antihistamine medications that can be effective in reducing and preventing motion sickness. Antihistamine medications such as Bonine, Antivert, or Dramamine are available over the counter and may be used for mild symptoms. Herbal and homeopathic remedies are an excellent natural alternative to help relieve all forms of motion sickness. Use herbs such as Zingiber officinalis (Ginger) and Mentha piperita (Mint) to provide digestive comfort. Homeopathic ingredients such as Kalium phosphate, Cocculus and Pulsatilla vulgaris act as a restorative and nerve tonic and helps to promote comfort while traveling. MExico??????????
I will be traveling to Texas ( Corpus Christi ) and since I will be so close to Mexico I want to take a little visit there. I was wondering where would be a good place to go to that is still kinda close to the border and (No offense) safe?

Mexican border cities are NOT safe, because there are a lot of drug dealers sending drugs to the US where they can sell it. (No offense) but avoid the border zone in both sides.
2 :
I agree with the man above. Border towns are not safe. They are riddled with so much poverty--its truly sad. People will jump on your cars trying to clean your windows, 3 year olds will beg you for money, and people will follow you hoping to get a buck. Its quite scary! Those places thrive on tourism--but the police are very crooked. My freind was caught speeding-but the officer suggested giving him 20$ each, and he let them go! But imagine if you really need help..
3 :
cabo san lucas !!!!
4 :
The first two are right, border towns are DANGEROUS. Even people who live near the border and used to cross on a regular basis don't go anymore. Until the Mex gov handles their business, it isn't safe to go. P.S. Cabo is like 1000 miles from California, let alone Texas! (Though I do LOVE Cabo)
5 :
No offense taken, I understand the american concern.. probably your best option is Monterrey..its I think 5 hours from the border..Im mexican and bassically Im not familiar with any interesting city close to the border.. sorry. As for someone elses comment, yes those cities can be dangerous, not only for the drugs, wich lets accept it, every city in the world has the same trouble, its also very well known that mexican borders cities are where some americans wash their dirty laundry and gets pretty messy but not because of the goverment not doing its bussiness, its the corrupt police that will accept any american dollars for tips to keep your stuff secret, please no offense on this but Im really tired of seeing and reading a false stereotype of what Mexico is.
6 :
Mexico is not the thing that you see in the moves its preaty cool you may go to cabo san lucas u will love it
7 :
Monterrey !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.... its 3 hrs. away from the border and its worth visiting. Monterrey is one of the top 3 most important cities in Mexico. There's a lot of things to do and its safe.
8 :
I agree 100% with the people saying Monterrey. It is about 2 1/2 hours south of the boarder from Laredo, TX. My advice: Go in your car to Laredo, TX. Park in the municipal garage. It is about $10 a day and is covered and protected 24/7 by the local police. Hop on a bus to Monterrey (my favorite is TURIMEX which is about 4 blocks from the municipal garage.) The cost will be about $20 one-way. Once you get to Monterrey, cross the street from the Central Camionera (Bus Station) and I highly recommend the Hotel Fastos which is really nice, clean, and cheap (about $50 US per night). There is a 24 hour restaurant with great food. Try the Chilaquiles or Migas. You will not need a taxi from the bus station since it is literally across the street. When you cross the border, you will need to stop by the immigration office and show your birth certificate and picture ID. If you stay less than 7 days, your tourist card (FMT) will be free. While in Laredo, TX eat at Tacos Palenque which has great food. Buen Viaje!

About Best place in Texas to move to
Best place in Texas to move to?
I live in Oklahoma, but was born in North Texas. I've done a good deal of traveling around Texas, and I lived in Corpus Christi for 8 months in 2007-2008. I'm 20 years old, and other than those 8 months, I haven't LIVED in Texas since I was in Kindergarten. I traveled to Houston, Corpus Christi, Amarillo, Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, and lots of smaller towns all over. Only place I haven't been is West Texas. Anyway, I'm looking to move back. I need a place with good jobs that don't require a college degree, a good college to get a degree at(looking at something in health like Respiratory Therapy or Radiology), good weather, lots of things to do. It doesn't have to be a coastal city, but that would be a plus. I'm single, no kids. I like the weather along the coast and the weather up in the panhandle, I haven't spent enough time anywhere else to really know there. Best answer gets 5 Stars After a little bit of research, I'm actually leaning towards Austin. Close to everything, lots of things to do and a big college town. Opinions on Austin specifically?

I have heard that the downtown Dallas is really nice place to live in a Condominium.
2 :
If your thinking about getting a degree in health care then i would suggest Houston. It has a huge medical center and is close to college station. Plus its not far from Galveston.
3 :
It sounds to me like Houston is what you're looking for. Houston's economy is the best in the state with low unemployment. It has good schools for degrees in various medical fields and it's close to the coast.

Soul, Texas is indeed a good state and part of the greatest country on Earth but, at your young age; why preoccupy your mind with living in a single selected area simply because you once lived there? Allow yourself the latitude to live and exist where possibilities and opportunities may be more suited to your individual desires and needs. It is You whom will ultimately reap the rewards; consider those options The world is your oyster my friend. Open it and reap your rewards. I was personally born on the gulf coast of Mississippi and don't take me wrong; I love it there for many reasons but; I have traveled, by design and purpose, to many parts of the world. Don't cut yourself short soul, there is much to see and experience out there and it is definitely worth the adventure, Consider the many opportunities to serve and travel be it military or volunteer groups. You will learn, experience adventures and meet a wealth of new individuals. It will also allow time for a young mind to selectively decide what may be the greatest decisions of their young life for the rest of it to follow.

About Where do I find petticoats
Where do I find petticoats?
I live in Texas and plan on wearing a ballgown for my prom this upcoming year but I'm not sure where i could find a petticoat/full slip. i found one online but i would prefer to try it on with the dress before i buy it. does anyone have any suggestions on where i could find one in the Laredo, Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Dallas, and Fort Worth areas? I have family in those areas and don't want to travel too far.

Any place that sells wedding gowns will have the petticoat you are looking for. I would try a wedding gown wholesale place or you may wind up paying alot. But I think that will be your best bet on finding one.
4 :
I would have one custom made they way you want it.
5 :
ANY bridal store. You don't have to travel far for this one. Have fun!
6 :
you can have one made if you go to certain dress stores. if you ask they should only be about 60$. try looking for a dress that has one built in. then wear a flat slip. that might be easier than finding a petticoat. i had my mom make one for a dress tha ti wore for a reinactment. even you can make one. go to a craft store or a joanne fabrics and get a pattern. get some cloth and fire up a sewing machine!
7 :
You could but a pattern. Butterick has petticoat patterns. Wal-Mart may have it. Look in the costume section. Choose the fabric you like. This could be better than buying off the rack, since Texas is pretty warm. Any seamstress can make it & hem it to the length you desire.
