traveling to corpus Christi next week, hurricane ?
I'm planning on leaving from Sunday through Thursday of next week, 25-29, and I just watched the news about the tropical depression in Florida. Any weather buffs or gulf coast natives that know what to expect have any advice? Should I go an hope for the best or should I try to cancel? We are going basically just for the beach.

It appears that the storm will already be over land by the end of Sunday. Current forecasts for landfall are suggesting well north of Corpus Christi. I wouldn't rule out a rather cloudy day on Sunday and Monday...just leftover effects from the storm. And I wouldn't be concerned about that stormy activity seen down south of Corpus Christi along the coast of Mexico either. Don't cancel!

according to Houston news it's heading directly for Houston

The current forcasts have it hitting land by sunday or monday probably closer to houston or Louisiana. If that holds true it will not effect Corpus at all.
