Help,Please,Fastest way to get a ID for family emergency trip!?
my grandmother is in hospital her cancer has spread into her lungs and spleen,she doesnt have much time. I need to get from Northern California to Corpus Christi TX, Asap and I lost my license weeks ago. I cannot travel with out a ID. What is the fastest way to get one. valid with airline companies? Will DMV print out a temp? Please help give me some ideas,Im desperate!

Passport easiest, but if you dont have a passport if you have student ID and your birth certificate that will work too. Hope you get there alright.

DMV can give you a new one in like 15 mins go early in the morning so you won't have to wait.

The DMV will reissue you a new one for whatever the cost is for a license. You will just have to have your social security card and a copy of your birth certificate. I think that you can also get I.D.s at the post office. Not sure about that one. Good luck.

some smaller towns give you a license/state i.d. the same day, bigger towns and cities you have to wait a week or so for it in the mail, but you have to have you birth certificate or some sort of i.d. to prove yourself. you should call the dmv to make sure. you should be able to get a replacement ssn card with the original torn card in hand. if the original card is not available your birth certificate should suffice to get a new one. either way it takes a week or so for it as well. you should call the airline you are taking to make sure which id is valid for traveling. i 'do' know for sure that you can use a passport to travel. hope this helps
